Milne Field Construction Update, June 2014

Construction at Milne Field was in full go again this week as the concrete footers for the 2,500 seat grandstand addition were poured on what was formerly the west side berm.

In addition to the 2,500 seat grandstand, enhancements include a state-of-the-art press box building and new concessions and bathrooms that will benefit football, lacrosse and track, and intramurals. Lights and a new scoreboard will also be part of the new additions.

The project was funded in total by private donations. The feasibility study was done by renowned architect Fred Krenson of Rosser International and refined by McMillan Pazden Smith and Glen Dasher. The contractor is Perry McCall.

Completion of the project is expected for the fall of 2014 before the football home opener on Sept. 13 against San Diego.
